Home. The very word evokes warm and fuzzy feelings inside. A place of safety and love. Maybe the smell of bread baking, or the loud, chaotic sound of a large family. A place to land.
This is my homepage. The place where we will land.
I am a Christian, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. I am a senior citizen, and I have been a Christian since I was 21 years old.
I am not officially educated in politics, nor in Biblical scholarship. I am not a Theologian by any stretch of the word.
I am just a person who believes that the Bible is the Word of God, that He wants to be in relationship with us, and that He has provided the way through Jesus Christ. our Lord. I believe we ‘work out our own salvation with fear and trembling’, in prayer and reading the word and seeking His ways.
I am starting this blog at the beginning of 2026, one year into President Trump’s second term as President of the United States. I have spent the last year just watching and praying and wondering what I am supposed to do, if anything, as a child of God with the growing difficulties here.
Project 2025, which the President clearly stated that he had never heard of, is, at the writing of this, just over 50% complete. (Project 2025 Tracker). Since taking office in 2025, Mr. Trump has signed 239 executive orders and 57 memoranda. These actions allow the President to bypass Congress.
DHS and ICE have been funded fully because of his Big Beautiful Bill. 70 million dollars were spent on deadly weapons for ICE in nine months, while training was reduced from five months to 47 days, eventually ending in the lethal shooting of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis.
And then I stopped watching. Now I bear witness. And I pray. And here I will share my thoughts about what I, as a Christian, should be doing in response to all of this.
